Debian 11 (bullseye) 正式釋出

Debian 10 (bullseye) 在 2021-08-14 正式釋出 [1].

睽違兩年多的發行, 跟前一版 Debian 10 – Buster 有什麼差異呢?

  • 移除 MIPS mips (big-endian) 支援

相較 Debian 10,  Debian 11 新增 11294 個套件, 更新 42821 個套件, 並移除 9519 個套件.

目前內含超過 59551 個套件.

重點功能

Driverless scanning and printing

透過 CUPS [4] 套件來進行 driverless printing, SANE [5] 套件進行 driverless scanning.

Control groups v2

從 Debian 11 開始, systemd 預設使用 control groups v2 (cgroupv2), 若想改回 cgroup v1, 可參考這篇設定

Persistent systemd journal

Bullseye 中的 systemd 預設啟動 persistent journal 功能, 將相關資料儲存在 /var/log/journal/ 中。更多設定以及資訊可參考 systemd-journald.service(8) manpage；

New Fcitx 5 Input Method

更新 Fcitx 輸入法, 新版本支持 Wayland 並支持 plugin, 更多資訊可參考這篇說明

支援 exFAT 格式

因 Debian 11 Bullseye 使用 kernel 5.10, 所以可使用在 kernel 5.4 就加入的 exFAT 功能. 除了 kernel configuration 要開啟外, 也須搭配 userspace 程式, 如 exfatprogs [9].

改善了對於 systemd 之外 init systems 的支援

眾所皆知, Debian 8 開始即採用 systemd 為預設 init system. 即便如此, 還是有許多使用者使用 sysvinit or openrc 等等的 init system, 有鑑於此, Debian 11 也改善了相關支援, 詳情可參考這篇說明

密碼雜湊演算法預設使用 yescrypt

Debian 11 Bullseye 使用 yescrypt 來取代原本的預設 hash algorithm SHA-512, 為了加強針對字典的密碼猜測攻擊的安全性. 由於 Debian 10 Buster 不支援 yescrypt, 所以升級上要特別注意, 詳情可參考這篇說明

進行 Debian 10 -> 11 升級前, 建議閱讀此文件, 確保了解升級須注意的地方
